The Unique SIVTTF Format
How the Festival Works
Unlike traditional club tournaments, SIVTTF has a unique system that builds new friendships and ensures balanced, enjoyable tennis for everyone.
Secret Balanced Teams
Players enter individually and are graded from 1 to 4. The committee carefully balances the 8-player teams so every squad is equally competitive.
- The Mystery: Teams are kept secret until the Dec 27 Meet & Greet!
- New Friends: Past partners and spouses are split to maximise mixing.
Captains & Themes ($60)
Each team is assigned a Captain who receives a $60 allowance to outfit their squad in matching team themes, colours, or props for morning photos.
- Dec 28 Team Photos: Posed in full team regalia before round 1.
- Scores & Balls: Captains keep matches moving and tally cards.
Medals, Wooden Spoon & Dinner
5 full rounds over 3 days, capped with the celebrated 29 Dec Festival Dinner, official 30 Dec Gold, Silver & Bronze medals, plus the traditional Wooden Spoon for the last team!
- Medals & Wooden Spoon: Podium awards & wooden spoon honours.
- 29 Dec Dinner: ~60 players, partners & quiz evening.
